Remember that everyone you’re comparing yourself with is just as (im)perfect as you. They, like you, have their own insecurities. Their own inhibitions. Their struggles.
And that’s the big problem with social media. We only see the moments that people choose to share. We easily forget or just don’t realize that what we’re shown is the result of endless posing, applying of filters and thinking of great captions.
Just in case you read this after your buzz has worn off, let me tell you that what you’re feeling is very relatable. I think it’s deeply rooted within us to compare ourselves to others. We see these people we think have their shit together, who look good and seem to be without struggle.
