Were you listening when I told my Fedroid wife this very thing 5 minutes ago?
Posts by Upshur Human Park
Phoebe, Awoo, Alpha, Stella today!
Then I ran into a single woman, a doctor, obviously successful, and she greeted me with green eyes smiling. She asked if I remembered her and of course yes. My sugar was plummeting and I hope o wasn’t too brusque.
I was just talking to my wife about the women I meet at the dog park. She said if I do meet someone new to make sure she has lots of money and good insurance.
Icy day. Icy month. Icy year? #upshurdogpark #dogparkcrushv 7
Zekes is a coffee shop.
Rory and Ragu were there today.
A year ago it was warm enough to wear just a t-shirt. When I got to the human park, Coda’s mom was there and we sat together on Keeper’s Human Bench. We walked out together and at the last second she noticed my Eiffel Tower shirt. She literally swung around and did a double take. #dogparkcrush
Temperley accidentally peed inside at Zekes. She’s 13. We’ll be glad when the weather is warm enough again to hang out outside. Last year at the end of January it hit 80!
Temperley doesn’t mind a little snow. #dogpark
It was about a year ago. The story was that Coda had followed another dog up to the corner that I had to walk past at 7:30 in the morning. I’m being stalked. #dogparkcrush
At 15th and Webster
Great Dane Peanut Butter and Samoyed Alphie are here!
Between 730 and 8 in the morning
Raven!!!
There’s really only one direction walking from home to the human park, but several paths. I go there every morning about the same time. If someone wanted to bump into me, the best place would be 15th Street.
The white one is actually a Samoyed. Alphie!
Two huskies today. Beau of course and then a big white one. Coda doesn’t come here anymore ever.
With wet weather the green clay of the human park becomes a sloppy mess. When they renovate, they’ll probably put in a elastomeric surface. When?
Bucky came by today. He’s a most lovable and affectionate hound, and he knows me. He didn’t want to leave me.
A year ago I didn’t understand what was going on. I had an inkling. But I didn’t know.
I felt the same at the end of 2023 as 2024. Grateful for all that I have. Thankful to not have succumbed to what could have destroyed me.
Mr. Wilson was her hound and sadly he passed about a year ago. Mr. Wilson had the most soulful hound dog eyes and was gentle as can be.
Mr. Baby and Big Dog as well as Sophie
Why was Finn’s mom coming into the human park without Finn? Oh no, it was because Finn’s other darling mom passed on in October. Farewell dear human park friend. She was fond of hounds, resilient and we had so many good conversations about life. I’m so sorry you are gone!
Insurance should be for catastrophes. Ordinary and predictable expenses, like prescriptions for statins, should not be insured because it addd a layer of administrative expense to the drug costs. That’s pure profit for health insurers with no corresponding benefit to you,
Would you like to have your electric/phone/gas/auto insurer/cable bills deducted from your check too? Personally, I’d rather get my money and then pay them. Through lobbying, health insurers have prioritized themselves to get paid before you. Why should they?
Plus you do realize that you can’t sue your health insurer for breach of contract like you could anyone else? You like the existing system? Tell me why you like it, please.
No. You kind of missed the point. Who else do you have on your pay stub? The state, federal and local governments. Maybe a charity? Your medical cafeteria plan?
Why should your health insurer be taking the money out of your check directly? The benefit is tax free regardless.
Don’t forget. The insurers get their money out of your paycheck before you do. WTF?
