I met a pittie pup named Benito tonight, and I think he might be my soulmate.

I got my hair cut today and even though I said that I wanted to keep the bob under my chin it ended up being shorter than that. I love it. I am pretty sure that I am never going back to long hair.

Honestly, I don’t know what I was worried about. It took maybe an hour? I’m just going to wait until the last minute all the time now.

I feel like we messed something up. Last year we owed almost 8k, this year we got $124 back. Thanks, Red Cross Jesus! I guess?

I have never cut it so close on getting our taxes filed, and it is honestly making me so anxious. We still haven’t filed. My husband on the other hand is like, what is the worst that can happen if we miss the deadline? Thankfully he is working on his part tonight.

The extreme barrel look terrible, but I actually like them if it is a slight barrel. They work well on my frame too. I am 5’8, but I have short legs, and jeans often fit weird.

I left dinner at Butcher’s Tale tonight with an entire pan of focaccia. I am blessed.

Today I had a colleague send me a passive aggressive email that was obviously written by Co-Pilot. I was most annoyed because the message was essentially “Heather— thanks for your assistance — D.” HOW FUCKING LAZY ARE YOU?

People are so weird. Who cares if someone else parks in front of your house? To be fair, I do get a little pissy when people block our carriage walk in the winter, but that seems like a normal annoyance.

This is 100% my neighbor. Has a garage and parking pad but insists on parking in front of her house. She now has two disability spots, that she doesn't even need, but before that, if anyone else dared park there, she would leave a note and threaten to have them towed. It is absolutely insane.

I think he thought that by firing her she wouldn't have to testify before Congress, but he was wrong.

I feel like the cinnamon bread is unique to a small part of the state, but every funeral I have attended in ND served this open faced sandwich, ham and butter on a dinner roll, and a selection of bars and cookies. That’s it.

Much better than the savory jello salad.

This is common food fare at Lutheran funerals in ND. I started a fairly spirited conversation on Twitter a few years ago regarding the cinnamon bread. It seems to only be part of the state that used it, but everyone knew the cheese whiz and olive combo.

I decided to give Paradise on Hulu another try. I started watching it when it came out but didn't get very far. I decided to start it over from the beginning. I guess we will see how it goes.
