This book was hella fun. It's one of those books that deserves far more attention than it's gotten.
Unconscionable that this didn't hit my radar before it even published, it's so very much my kind of fun read. 📚

Ooooo! I hadn't heard of this release. ON IT.
What an exercise in seeing how your craft has changed over time. (Or so I'd think it'd be in my case, were I the one with this task ahead of me.)
Would be interested in any observations you have to share once you're done!
Yep. Movies, too. There's one franchise I never started and thought I'd get to, then when the third landed and everyone hated it, I thought, "Okay, time saved." Never even bothered watching the first one after that.
I haven't started the series, but keep being tempted. I'm worried I'd get into it and it'd fall apart at the end. :/
Nice!! 🎉
Ah, makes sense. I never did much of that, even in the old social media days, but for someone who did, yeah.
Now that's a good point. Very true.
Isn't that interesting?!? Maybe we've finally (finally!) gotten over the excitement of having a documenting device in hand at all times? Or... 🤷
Interesting. Maybe a combination of media fatigue + a shift to life immersion in some kind of way. Good things, I think...
I’m taking fewer and fewer photos these days, even of things worth documenting.
Good to be more present and in the moment, but still interesting in that I haven’t intentionally changed a habit or something like that. Is this just a me thing?
I did! Like a surprise present in the mail every time, you know. I literally beam when I open the mailbox to a missive. And now to write back, which is always a fun project, too. 😀
This makes me thankful anew for Jon C Lundell 📝

That's an interesting assortment of countries! How did you choose them?
I finished a sci-fi book last week that was set in the "future" of 2016 and.... <sigh>
Still feels very fake to write “2026.” How did this happen already?
That's just... ridiculous. A world championship of anything for TODDLERS? 🤦
I love this.
I didn’t read as many titles this past quarter as I typically do in a three-month period, but a lot of the books I read were doorstoppers the length of two or even three “regular-sized” books.
View across a large room with tables covered in books and people shopping.
An ornate room with people seated on a dais with microphones and people filling the chairs in the foreground to listen.
View from overhead of a packed book-sales floor at a literary festival.
A 🤩 weekend at Quai du Polar in Lyon, as it is every year!
😍
Drat! I missed my chance!
Just as an FYI, the Cirque KNIE is still here and still touring. I've only gone once.... but I wuold *absolutely* go again if this plate-spinner were there.
You look so adorably happy!
March was a busy one. In addition to the work and the writing work, I had a much needed uptick in social activity after months of everyone hiding out and hunkering down for the winter months. (Me included.)
💪
Now you've got me thinking about the perfect beverage for baklava....
Turkish coffee?
TRUTH.
