Main goal: Enjoy the hell out of the day.

A time goal: a Boston personal best.
B time goal: a solid Boston qualifying time, so I can go back next year if I want to.

If the weather's perfect and there's a little magic in the air, I'm open to the possibility of a personal best, my first sub-3:00.

Monday will be the 5th marathon I've really trained, and gotten to the starting line healthy, for in the last 5 years:

1. Miles on the Mohawk Marathon 2021: 3:05:06
2. Baystate Marathon 2021: 3:01:19
3. Boston Marathon 2023: 3:03:13
4. Baystate Marathon 2024: 3:00:01
5. Boston Marathon 2026: ???

What’s more likely, that campus police being armed prevents a tragedy, or causes one? (I’m genuinely unsure.)

Only one “elite” Rhode Islander (go Emily Sisson!), but lots of pretty fast runners, including a few wave 1, corral 1 starters (Ross Macandrew, Bronson Venable, Chris Vachon).
