Update from Hutt City FB page: The river is rising quickly. They are closing both Kennedy Good and Melling bridges overnight and not reopening until they've been assessed by engineers in the morning. Get home, sooner rather than later. Roads are already closing.

After being offline all day I was utterly shocked to see the amount of flooding and destruction documented all across the Wellington area from this storm.

Seeing photos downtown areas like the hospital parking lot totally flooded was hard to wrap my head around!

Red Peak was good but putting so many others in the selection that were very similar to each other meant that anyone who preferred any of them would almost certainly prefer all of them, pushing Red Peak to the bottom of the rankings. It was bullshit and imo almost certainly deliberate.
