In my Natural Disaster story, that was the original volcano idea: crush it, save everyone, then turn around and be like "Now I'm going to be the one to destroy the world!" Or "Being your Empress is the least I should earn for saving all of your lives." Not all that heroic!

Got another illustration from @snafukurikai.bsky.social to show off. They're wonderfully and kindly working through my Natural Disaster story. This one isn't macro but is a significant and somewhat touching scene before more growing. The tormented hero has to trust her forlorn companion again.
