Tourism is a vital part of what makes Canada so exceptional. In Nova Scotia, arts & culture are at the heart of this sector, driving local economies and communities. 🇨🇦
Thank you, Senator Sorensen, for launching this important inquiry into tourism’s nation-building value.

Yesterday I honoured my friend, the late Stephen Lewis in the Senate Chamber.
Stephen was a hero to many, a feminist, and a man whose own enormous heart, and selfless vision for humanity, moved mountains.
He will be dearly missed.

Bill C-19 will help Canadians with their pocketbooks. But, the lowest income Canadians could lose out in receiving the top up payment if they don't file their taxes, & automatic tax filing wont start till next year. I asked the Minister of Finance if they can be paid retroactively.
