If the intention is to have a public project, does Codeberg not fit well either? I do think Gitea could go a long way with external mirroring support too though. It would be nice to have a private source of truth, then mirror to a public git repi somewhere hosted.

Is this on a hosted instance or self hosted? If it's the latter, why not set up wireguard and make your node inaccessible by the public internet?

An orange made from ANSI characters in a program called Moebius. The orange has shading made from semi-randomly placed darker pixels.

I'm experimenting with ANSI art in Moebius, made a scribble and thought it looked a bit like an orange, so I continued to make that so.

Manually dithering is surprisingly easy and fun.

I participate in a lot of Discord communities with significant trans representation (because that's common in the video game industry especially) and they absolutely will be fragmented by this change.

In an era of tech companies cozying up to an administration that has shown hostility to the trans community there's real harm in de-anonymization on Discord.

Data will be misused to expose dissenting voices or the "age appropriate" excuse will be used to gate discussions about seeking equal rights.

Also, LLMs can't reliably follow instructions. The guardrail of not making weapons fully autonomous is the bare minimum. Are they trying to speedrun the plot of Horizon Zero Dawn?

For Computronium it's having such a vibrant modding ecosystem that a total overhaul mod appears and makes all my hard-fought design decisions irrelevant 😅

It's been so difficult to be a computer hobbyist for ages. Between crypto, scalpers, supply chain shocks, and now AI - It's been impossible to get enthusiast hardware.

It's half the reason I'm making Computronium, at least in a video game we might be able to enjoy ourselves.

This is a good take, and I'm happy for some of the clarity this message brings.

However, I think this leaves out that we risk becoming a content junkie society wholly dependent on a few that control the automation.

There will be little recourse when things go awry because labor power won't exist.

It's doubly frustrating to simultaneously to watch some in the games industry push it when it represents an existential threat to gaming as a whole.

Who is gonna buy games when all of the hardware is too expensive or completely unavailable?

It's extremely frustrating to watch the open source community, one of the best examples of cooperative humanity, become a victim of the LLM grift.

Substitute the Netherlands for Flanders and you've described my cofounders and I. Personally the current administration didn't have much to do with it since we came in before the election. In my opinion the US just isn't very kind to entrepreneurs that aren't doing an investment pyramid scheme.
