NEW: Tomorrow, SCOTUS will consider dramatically limiting mail voting. The question at hand? Whether ballots postmarked by Election Day, but that arrive after, should count.

Depending on how the justices rule, millions of voters could be disenfranchised in future elections.

Person. Woman. Man. Fck. Trump.

If Satanyahu is dead, I think its definitely possible, that could be a way for Trump to end this war by circumventing any blackmail. Either Trump could have arranged it himself or just shared the location with Iran. I wouldn't put it past Trump to do this to get out of this jam.

Trump after midterms might become even more unhinged and unrestrained. However, Israel might drop its more hardline rhetoric after Israel elections, especially if Bibi loses and heads to prison for corruption charges.

Iran needs to extract a high price - reparations and sanctions relief - before agreeing to end this war. Without that, Israel and US will come back and bomb them again in a few months. Also, if Iran is economically weakened, it might collapse due to internal instability.

OpenAI on Surveillance and Autonomous Killings: You’re Going to Have to Trust Us OpenAI says Americans shouldn’t worry about the ethics of its new Pentagon contract. You’ll have to take their word for it (and Pete Hegseth’s).

OpenAI’s Pentagon deal boils down to one thing: Total blind trust in the integrity of Sam Altman, Pete Hegseth, and Donald Trump.

Given that Pedon Musk has an opinion on everything, why is he so quiet about Iran war? Is it because he could later claim that he was always against it? If he is not pushing back now, then he is complicit.

Eveyone is forgetting whatelse is at play...the fate of Netanyahu. Once US/Israel accept their defeat, declare cease-fire and leave, Bibi will see that no pardon will come from the Israel President...with the result, Bibi in jail for corruption. Justice served & Good riddance!

Pete Hegseth's Worldview Is Even Worse Than His Personal Behavior Hegseth thinks we should disregard the Geneva conventions, embrace violence, and pursue a “clash of civilizations” war against Islam. He’s a terrifying Secretary of Defense who exposes the hollowness ...

@mark-carney.bsky.social @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social

This is the Secretary of "War" confirmed by the US Congress.

This man is an outright Islamophobe. And no nation, especially Canada should join or support ANY war or battle that he is a part of.

The post mortem of 2024 is a classic in only acknowledging the top line result, rather than thinking what par would have been for the starting position. Hemorrhaging votes in solid Labour areas should have been a massive warning light.

The left wants to primary Democrats who break with the party on Iran Progressive groups "are already preparing," one House Democrat said.

Good. Now is the time.

With "centrist" Vichy Dems like these who needs neocon war hawks?

In 2020, trump said it was “stupid” that America spent trillions on Middle East conflicts while our healthcare, roads, and schools needed fixing.

Now look what he’s doing.
Same wars. Same costs.
Same neglect at home.

The only thing that changed was the excuse.

Whatever It Takes Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu has gone to great lengths to cling to power.

Netanyahu has waged war against the institutions that he believes conspired to bring him down: the police, the media, the prosecution, and the court system. buff.ly/GhkkwQV

International Law is what sprang from that war you're obsessed with Nigel.

The one you think was all Victor Comics and Where Eagles Dare.

The one - like pretty much everything in history whose important legacy you singularly fail to understand

Important to remember that the people most enthusiastic about bombing Iran are almost always the people most hateful towards refugees.

⭕️ Former Rep MTG:

“What we have seen right now is 100 little girls killed in a school… And our President is saying that the Iranian people are all of a sudden going to topple their regime. Well, I don’t think the Iranian people are going to be toppling their regime when they’re getting blown apart by the US and Israel in an unprovoked attack. And yes it was unprovoked.”

“I am irate. I am furious about this… What is happening to the man I supported… The man that said no more regime change wars. We’re a year in and we’re in another fucking war — and American troops are being killed.

We need to have a serious conversation about what the fuck is happening to this country.”
