the UK government is introducing tax changes which will effect the motability scheme which enables disabled people like my bestie Jade to lease vehicles - the changes mean journey limits and black box trackers for those under 30, its draconian

please share and sign now to help stop this ✏️

Kill Yr Substack | Jason Cosper I’ve been tired of Substack platforming white supremacists, Nazis, neo-confederates, and so many of the worst people on the internet for a long time now. So I made a browser extension for all of us.

I got tired of Substack platforming Nazis, white supremacists, and convicted rapists, so I made a browser extension.

Kill Yr Substack intercepts every Substack link and redirects it to `archive.is`. They never see your traffic. You still get to read the thing tho.

Chart of 12-month rolling totals of world electricity generation by source, from January 2020 through February 2026. Over most of this time period, the order of the sources from largest to smallest was coal, gas, hydro, nuclear, wind, solar, other fossil (oil), bioenergy, and other renewables (geothermal). Wind generation has been rising, however, and solar has been rising even faster, so that solar surpassed wind in late 2025 and both solar and wind surpassed nuclear around the start of 2026. Data from https://ember-energy.org/data/electricity-data-explorer/.

Ember has (finally) posted world electricity data for December, January, and February. Based on the 12-month rolling totals from this data, the order of the 4th, 5th, and 6th place sources has reversed:

Solar 8.96%
Wind 8.87%
Nuclear 8.78%

Like my new sticker?

Runs on Aussie sunshine ☀️

No fuel stops. No price shocks. Just charge at home and drive.

This isn’t a drivetrain swap, it’s a system flip. From imported oil to rooftop energy.

Once the fleet scales, the economics break fast.

Cost always wins. #Bettrification

Mpg isn't the city problem with old combustion cars, it's the particulates in their exhausts. And air quality is already better in London.

Biologically, when a man encounters a baby in the wild, he can and will eat it. After siring offspring, the man's mate or keeper will take care to smear them with a sticky, inedible paste, allowing the man to spend time with his own young without devouring it.

I like the reminder here that a lot of cities have changed since COVID, and people might not even know about new bike lanes. Always like to plug CyclOSM 🚲

There is no other way of describing this other than to say that it looks like a very small sheep is balancing carefully on a wooden pole.

There is no other way of describing this other than to say that it looks like a very small sheep is balancing carefully on a wooden pole.

There was another exciting aspect to our hike today.

For years I believed that the Tiny Balancing Sheep breed was just a myth, as I've done so many walks and hikes through the British countryside and never seen one.

But reader, I was mistaken. And I have proof.

"Enshittification" is a very real thing with online platforms, such as DeviantArt.
If you're a creative, you can't think of any one site as your online "home".
"Home" is other people's awareness of your work, one built via communication.
Spread out. Post on every site you can.
