@meghanlynnftw.bsky.social Have you seen The Wild Robot? I watched it on a plane last week and my first thought was that it is extremely your vibe.

Me, picking up a new hobby
I'm sure I have an old version of it somewhere. Actually I'm pretty sure I bought the Steam version.
I am once again desperate for someone to explain the concept of air conditioning to the Europeans.
Now I wanna play Dwarf Fortress. It's been years.
Fuckbuddy withdraws from society...
Who knows what they're doing in there.
The real kicker is that every time I think, No this time I'll be able to handle it and keep going I just need to push through it and every time I'm wrong.
Hello Europe. It's with my deepest apologies that I must inform you that I am on your continent.
Fuckbuddy was struck by a strange mood
A black and white image shows three young people snacking with the headline "Gen Z and Gen Alpha are redefining snacking"
Look, I'm not one of those people who thinks every generation must suffer the same injuries mine did but you all damn well know if this article had been about Millennials it would have been titled "Millennials are killing the snacks industry."
Fans often have tiny almost hidden arrows stamped into their plastic
Good Job, Jax
The weirdest thing about Elizabeth Banks's Miniature Wife is that it's a Christmas show.
I'm once again feeling the call to watch Godzilla (1998)
I've joked in the past about wanting a The Pitt and The Bear cross over but I think there is something to that. They share some of the same bones in how they throw complicated characters at each other in stressful situations and just linger with them.
All of the design choices in the show support this. There isn't music to distract. We get those lengthy shots of their faces. We can breathe with the actors as they go through those arcs and spirals. We cut away to see other characters seeing them. It's really great visual storytelling.
The characters are doctors. They're competent, intelligent people who save lives and really push themselves to their limits. They are often confident in their worldview until someone says something that shakes it like "he's mad at himself" or "I'm not talking about me" and you can watch it crumble.
You can say a lot about The Pitt but one thing I don't want to hear is anyone say that the acting isn't incredible. All of those actors do so much with just prolonged close ups and facial expressions.
A quick exchange of words and rapid emotional journeys you can see in their eyes.
My two strongest beliefs about the MCU are that
1. The way they did the snap and time jump in Infinity War/Endgame were the necessary end of the path they were on.
2. The biggest thing that that broke the MCU.
Trump didn't ask permission to use them so maybe he should pay for them.
I read and loved Nettle and Bone and I've been meaning to read more T Kingfisher!
I need a new book to read. What's something you've read recently that you loved?
I really want to grow some peppers. But that might need to be a next apartment thing if I can get more space. Maybe I'll try some mint. I hear that's pretty hard to mess up.
I live in a small apartment what would be something you'd recommend to grow?
I keep thinking, can you imagine how the Artemis II astronauts feel?
I swear to fucking god if Trump nukes Iran and starts World War Three tonight I don't know what I'll do. But I'm gonna be so mad.
Tame Impala and JENNIE rhyming "Dracula" and "Spectacular" is up there with some of the all time greats of lyric rhyming.
