the hilarious thing about writing is, of course, the better you get at it, the harder it is. Your own standards go up. Some days I miss farting out endless paragraphs of guff as a baby writer - the freedom, the innocence, etc etc

I must be getting very good indeed! Finding it almost impossible to write anything at all now.
I feel a letter to my MP coming on.
This is astonishing. Whoever is responsible for this should lose their job.

Petition to have all car boot measurement in Imogens going forward.
Twenty-four is a great number!
The ridiculously long wait is almost over now!
The thing that most irritates me about Marvel comics these days is the endless crossovers between different titles. It's a cynical money-grabbing exercise that I expect puts more people off than it attracts, so of course they adopt it for the film/TV stuff too. Mad you can't get series on DVD, too.
Big black dog lies downside up on the sofa, back legs akimbo, front paws bent over, white teeth showing in an idiot grin.
This black dog would like to see off the other one.
There are essentially no drawbacks to reducing fossil fuel dependency. Even if you believe anthropogenic climate change is not real, it still saves lives by improving air quality, reduces toxins in the environment, makes cities quieter, and reduces the political power of oil-exporting dictatorships.

Idiot.
This Thursday, come see me and @neillancaster66.bsky.social at Ink & Quill in Montrose, chatting about Neil's latest #TheDarkHeart and why his little dog gets so excited when it's bins. inkandquill.co.uk/products/nei...
If you have to move to find common ground and your opponent doesn't, then that's not common ground.
Winter Soldier and Iron Man are definitely the best of the bunch. I did rewatch Eternals recently, over the course of several days, and it held up well. Should really have been a series though.
I did a brief stint reading short story subs for an online magazine in the late oughts, and it was such sweet relief when you stumbled across a gem in the mire.
I’ve enjoyed all of the Marvel movies to date. Well, maybe not Ant Man 3, but, you know… They’re really not rewatch material though.
Definitely need to send Elon there.
Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
You should accept and eat the food so generously provided by the great hunter.
A car would be even quicker, especially with all the roads cleared of traffic like that.
The really frustrating thing is that the Benfro books are by J D Oswald, whereas Broken Ghosts is by J. D. Oswald, so the useless databases don't put them together. Technology, eh!
On a whim, I made fudge yesterday, the first time I've made it in years, possibly decades. In other news I have eaten too much fudge today.
Easier to knock it down and start again! What were they thinking?
£2.2 million plus demolition costs is a hell of a lot for a building plot.
Thank you. I'd like to write more, as long as my publisher lets me! The difficulty with categorising Broken Ghosts is probably the main reason it hasn't found much of an audience, sadly.
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
It's fairly new. I think it's only just been approved for use in the UK in the last few months, so I was ahead of the game a bit on BG! Doug Johnstone mentions it in his Skelf series too - I suspect we both read the same article in New Scientist a few years back!
And I thought Musk was dangerous. Compared to Thiel he's just a boorish ignorant buffoon.
