CORRECTION: I meant British Columbia, not Canada. My vocabulary is easily confused these days with all the new terms, phrases, and culture🙂

Atlantic Puffin🪶
It’s the time of year for these adorable creatures to start arriving on our coastline in the UK! This will be the first year in many I can’t photograph these cuties as they don’t exist in in Canada!
This is a photo taken on Isle of Lunga, a few years ago!

Turkey Vulture🦅
Another migrant visitor here in Squamish. I’ve been waiting for them to arrive! These birds are remarkable, and I can’t wait to spend more time photographing them and learning about their behaviour!

Red-winged Blackbird🐦⬛
I waited a while for this striking bird to land on a perch which placed the towering Nch’kay (Atwell Peak) of the Garibaldi range right in the background of the shot. It turned out beautifully!

Red-winged Blackbird🐦⬛
Perhaps the most epic song I’ve heard yet in Canada. These birds belt out a right tune! Here a bird is seen showing off to a nearby female flanked by the mighty Chief🏞️

Thanks! They’re amazing birds to watch!
Smooth Landing🛬
A female belted kingfisher landing on a perch after fishing. She caught at least 5 fish while in was watching, one after another.
These birds are incredible!

Bald Eagle Fractus☁️
This bald eagle is abit of an oddity with its bright yellow bill, but brown head feathers. It makes the bird look a little bit like a white-tailed eagle. Of course, on the Pacific Northwest this isn’t the case!
The clouds are known as fractus.

They’re beauties!
Mighty Anna’s🪶
These little birds are incredibly mighty! They are able to survive the cold winters of Canada like champions unlike their cousins the Rufus Hummingbird!

Coolest Name Award🥇
Say’s Phoebe!
This is a completely new bird ti me since arriving in Canada. I’d never even heard of them! Let alone the entire group of birds called Phoebes.
Say’s Phoebe are uncommon in #squamish and are an awesome flycatcher to see!

Lichen are awesome for sure!
Dolphin Plume🐬
Just a Pacific white-sided dolphin spraying as it breaths in more air!

Glaucous-winged Gull🪶
I liked the gull against the cloud covered mountains in the distance. It made for a nice pseudo-mono photograph.

Porteau Cove🏝️
Spent the morning at Porteau Cove watching birds and checking out the marine life! The water of the sound is so clear that you can see the sea lions swimming in the water below! Super cool. Two hours with the dolphins made the day!🐬

Just an awesome female belted kingfisher flying past during my trip to Bowen Island.

It's fun to experiment with creative options like this, helps get us away from focussing on sharpness and technical quality and put more attention to creativity.
Naturally! Good job getting some good shots!
I'll never get bored of them!
Hahaa, they're great to watch!
I don't know loads about cicadas but I do know their life cycle is remarkable! Superb photograph :)
Brilliant shot! Those wings are impressive!
Awesome shot! Not easy to catch! I had my first two tree swallows for the season in Squamish at the weekend!
ICM is tricky to get right but it can pay off in a big way when you nail it! Great work!
