Okay look...people do stupid things, but this is an EXCEPTIONALLY stupid thing because

1. they were warned

2. they could have done a half dozen other things with a modicum of thought which would've done less harm...like stick it in the fucking 'fridge.

That is the truth. You don’t need to teach it. Your body tells you.

Even satisfaction from cruelty is fleeting. Empty. The other is permanent. Fulfilling.

The next administration must make clear that any immigrant, refugee, or asylum seeker wrongly deported, exiled, or otherwise mistreated by this administration will be readmitted with an expedited path to citizenship. Send a plane to get them.

We can't undo the damage. But we can do something.
