There’s a v cynical media and political blindspot in the Epstein shitshow. A feeding frenzy to get rid of Starmer while red-carpeting Farage into No10. Who is named in the files. As is Candy, Reform’s treasurer. With Bannon. And Brexit.
Don’t cry about abuses of power and then do nothing about him.
Admit it - you just wanted to say ‘exodi’
Why did you say ‘a certain segment of the Jewish population’?
So it’s Jews fault that we have to uplift Muslims, when Jews are murdered?
At a certain level of British society there is only one crime it's possible to commit: Failure to Sufficiently Launder and Glorify the Ruling Class
This Is Fascism
Just in case everyone thinks that the Uk Jewish community can see no wrong with Israel’s conduct. Im proud of this Well done BoD and JLC. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
Same here. Solidarity.
I advocate for anyone not to have their land lives and homes stolen. The problem we have in the case of this land is that two groups think it’s theirs. That has to be faced up to and addressed via compromise and mutual coexistence.
This seems to be a combination of ‘it’s only one person and it’s not antisemitic’ and ‘here’s a completely unrelated wrong to argue about’. I’ve no answer to that.
No I’m expressing a view as to what I think the priority should be.
Why do you want to argue about the nature of a Jewish state, when the priority right now is to aid unity and solidarity in the UK?
All involved in the public realm have a responsibility to lower the temperature (by which I mean lessen polarisation and division) in the aftermath of an antisemitic terror attack in the UK.
What are you doing to lower the temperature and reduce polatisation Owen? If you can’t do that then just stay quiet. I speak as a British Jew who is simultaneously appalled by israeli conduct, and supportive of both the Palestinian cause and the need for a Jewish state.
Dictators don't get voted out, they get forced out. When will Republicans realize Trump will destroy their lives too?

The real issue isn’t left vs right.
It’s not white vs black.
It’s not citizen vs immigrant.
It’s not gay vs straight.
The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.
Totally agree with this. But I think we can already see the likelihood that Trump will use this as a Reichstag fire opportunity.
Proud of Laura Robson there. Brave enough to tell the truth about the crowd booing the orange fascist.
Idk what newsom’s press office has been cooking for the past couple days but please keep cooking
more than anything else, this is *the* biggest problem in UK politics, because if there isn't a clear cordon sanitaire between centre right and far right then your only bulwark against fascism is 'the left (here very, very broadly defined) wins elections forever', which is quite a big ask
So Wimbledon has been won by two people who should both be serving a drugs ban yes it’s either not mentioned or it’s mentioned as another challenge for them to overcome. Baffling
@lewisgoodall.com I love Lewis but his interview with Bridget Philipso just now was truly terrible. A totally unserious descent into the kind of pathetic Westminster journalism that has destroyed serious discourse. Ask proper questions about policy issues please Lewis, not sound bite rubbish.
I’m saying don’t extrapolate from ‘llms can’t do complex algorithmic problems very well’ to ‘all ai is nonsense’. Marcus himself rightly makes that point
he is quite rightly saying ‘What the Apple paper shows, most fundamentally, regardless of how you define AGI, is that LLMs are no substitute for good well-specified conventional algorithms.’ I’d say they are better at humanities than sciences. still a big deal but won’t get us directly to agi!
Sorry but this is just poor journalism seeking to amplify one (genuinely interesting) piece of research into attempted ai methods, and then extrapolation into generalised condemnation of AI.
And….isn’t this a major opportunity for the UK’s academic sector to offer safe harbour to American academics and foreign students at US universities? We need to see higher education as a key export not as a driver of unwanted immigration.
