Today I thought I'd share a sneak peak at how the combat system for Glyph Rift is starting to shape up, and the WIP combat arena for the Gravenlock Biome. With a focus on Spell Slinging Combos, the aim is for combat to be tactical and fast paced. #indiegamedev #gamedev #indiegame #unity

Look at him go! A bit of colour and animation has Null moving in 8 directions, with a Run, Jump and Roll for each occasion.

There's definitely some work to be done, but this has been a big step to getting the Player Character feeling more natural to control. #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev #unity

This week I started to experiment with some foliage / plant life, and took a stab at incorporating some 3D elements (Blender forever scares me). Over the weekend I wanted to start to hone in on an art style a bit more, and started looking at games like Cult of the Lamb and Don't Starve in more detail. I landed on this little dude for a test character, and had a crack doing a little 2D decorating in a 3D space! #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame

2.5D games have always caught my eye, so I’m taking that route for my project. While practicing character drawing, I tweaked the Don’t Starve Bearger to study lines/shapes and ended up with a bartender. Figured he’d be a great first test to see how things look and work in-engine! #indiedev #gamedev
