I don't know the full details since I'm not on that project. I was asked on behalf to look for artists that I mentioned from the original post.
As of right now, we're looking for those who can animate sprites or can create 2D environment tilesets.
Seeing the portfolio is what we need.
Even if you don't have much experience working in a 2D game. But you're very eager to learn and grow, then that's what matters and is worth a shot at least
