At least at my work, a lot of the enthusiasm for AI comes from people that either don't do the day-to-day work or are already very good at day-to-day work. In either case, it puts efficiency/shortcuts in front of developing skills

Of course. The entire time I was a teacher I had at least one side job. Often I had multiple side jobs. It's incredibly sad and pathetic that I make way more money making YouTube videos than I did teaching in the classroom.

After further reflection on my initial post, the Kent State shootings would fall in this category IMO, and I'm sure there are others.
Growing up, I NEVER thought we'd get anywhere close to a Boston Massacre level event again in the US, now it feels like the government would treat it like any other weekday.

There are so many interesting resource systems out there it's hard to think of ones that haven't been done before; Hearthstone's ramp on rails crystal system, Digimon's memory gauge system, Lorcana and SWU having cards pull double duty as playables AND resources
