It's #buyastrangerabook day!

@humanaqvi.bsky.social is offering to buy someone the book of their choice, up to £20!

So if there's a particular book you're after, get in touch.

I totally relate to this especially as I grew up in a house where my mum always accused us of being lazy if we ever took a rest or break. But, we need to remember that we are chronically ill and part of the treatment is essential rest or we become even iller. We already do way more than we should xx

Wouldn’t that be awesome!

Oh aren’t they just! It’s like they are physically draining our energy to power themselves

So sorry to hear this my lovely friend and completely relate. My house is a tip these days but I’m spending more and more days in bed wiped out. Sending you gentle hugs xx

This is so awful. Oh my gosh my blood is boiling for you. What an arrogant pig, definitely in the wrong profession. You need support not doubting. And the exercise thing, ugh please 😡

Sadly it can’t be put on again so it’s another £158 at the vets for another one (and they only last 14 days unfortunately) but I’ve asked if he can have a few days of freedom first. How are you doing lovely?

The lad is feeling very smug as he’s managed to pull out his diabetic monitoring disc despite the bodysuit covering it. He is now very pleased to be “naked” again and I’m back to worrying about his blood sugar levels.

It’s so unfair, especially regarding cancer treatments

That is shockingly cruel. It shouldn’t have anything to do with where you live 😡

Every time I see espadrilles it reminds me of Miami Vice 😂

Couple of pics from my little garden to cheer up a Monday. Sorry for lack of being on here, depression still taking over a lot of days but the counselling is helping a lot. Sending love to all my gorgeous friends on here 🩷

I am now a pro at 12 hourly insulin injections for the lad and he’s being very brave. Wearing the bodysuit to stop him scratching the diabetic monitoring disc is making him rather cross though.

Same for me. I’ve been accused of not being disabled and laughed at, usually it’s old grumpy men. I offered once to show a guy all my spinal surgery scars which shut him up. And I often get glares. It’s hideous. I’ll do your form. Thanks so much for looking into this.

#caturday today brings a very fed up Quinn who was fitted with a diabetic monitoring disc on his neck at vets yesterday for two weeks to get his insulin levels right. He immediately tried to scratch it off so now in a bodysuit which is making him very cross!

Not looking forward to this at all. Have to have one fitted as daughter is one of my listed drivers. Also mileage is now halved which is insane. Grrrr

Grrrrr! But glad you got 2 months. How utterly stressful this all is for you 😢

Hope you get the 3 months, otherwise it will be even more stressful. This is such a ridiculous system, not like you’re getting better any time! Good luck xx

You’re very welcome lovely xxx

Oh gosh that sounds really stressful. Hope you get a decent and understanding GP. How often are you going to have to ask for fit notes? Sending hugs xx

What a gorgeous photo. I love how your cats all pile in together, it’s adorable. I’m so glad you are reunited with your hubby at last and hope his French lessons go well. I’m pretty low but hanging in there. Sending hugs xxx
