I have tried some of these and they're all child level difficulty. But there's also a leaderboard for completion time. I cannot accept that any "professional" takes these serious.

I feel so stupid lol. I'm setting up a new arch install and couldn't get any modern browser running. There was also a weird limit on the number of terminals. 12h and a skipped dinner later, turns out its because I limited the number of processes way too much following the security recommendations
Fashionably late (and not the first time) 😁💜
const ( exitSuccess int = iota exitReasonA exitReasonB exitReasonC )
neat golang snippet I'll use forever now. It documents exit statusses, but also encourages you to exit only in the main package and think about valid exit reasons.
My internal clock is even daylight savings aware wtf.
I wake up and see 6:30 on my alarm clock and it felt off. So I check my tablet and I see it’s 7:30 already. I would have overslept otherwise.
500 LoC for 1. basic web file caching 2. rss feed parsing and aggregating and 3. writing the output to a silly named pipe so that this feed aggregator is hostable as a feed itself. Using nothing but the Go stdlib.
That was a fun aside, but the question is... what was I working on originally?
don't mind me, just calculating how long I can hibernate for using all my savings.

I finally put something on openfl.eu
If you want to follow what I, the person, am up to, check that site occasionally.
today I found out openai is scraping my private git instance so I went out of my way to give them HTTP 444 no responses.
there are microchips in your cables and they know how to communicate.
I don't think these are all indies actually, or at least I don't consider them as such. These are just good games.
There always will be *people* making games for the sake of it. You just have to try, and maybe try something new.
some I studios/devs I can recommend:
Team cherry
Videocult
Subset games
The Game bakers
Heart machine
Double Fine Productions
Supergiant Games

Wizard of Legend
Pseudoregalia
FEZ
Rusted Moss
Sable
Parking Garage Rally Circuit
A Short Hike
INDIES (although there have been bad cases),
SOLO DEVS,
PASSION PROJECTS
A reminder that humans in cars - notably omitted from this thanks to motonormativity - kill 1.2m people every year
Side profile of a large pickup truck parked next to a regular sized hatchback. The nose of the truck is almost as high as the roof of the hatchback.
Seeing this irl instead of that diagram is even more disgusting.

Messing with player pings 😈
Stuff like pinging a runner to alert robots, or other runners. And maybe hacking other sensors for sounds or visuals to create a decoy.
slopperies
I love triple blind typing. 1) I’m not looking at my keyboard 2) my keycaps don’t have labels printed on them 3) I’m not looking at the screen.
Where does the hesitation come from actually? Is it just bungie?
A turner’s cube
I think it’s something like a turner’s cube. A machining challenge, but maybe also a test of skill to find qualified smiths.
everyone should play indie games all the time!
Hiii!
My conspiracy theory is that these companies want to control what you get to look at
