Twitched Baikal Teal at Llangennech and Pochard at Tregaron today. Both were year ticks!! Sign of the times.

First dazzling session of 2026 in my mid-Wales study area ( nr Lampeter) resulted in 9 Woodcock, 3 Jack Snipe and a Golden Plover. Great showing of mammals too with several hares, a couple of foxes plus single badger, polecat and otter @btocymru.bsky.social @birdsinwales.bsky.social

Spent the day bunting hunting in Norfolk to boost the year list 🙂
