Magic Knight Rayearth is like one of my gateway anime series. It was the 90s - you didn't get anime online, you watched a crappy, chopped up dub on WB or Fox Kids. Then a friend of mine lent me her subtitled MKR VHS tapes, and I was hooked. Magical girls, mechs, cute mascot, the works!

I mean, it's not... Llama Group recently renamed itself "Winamp Group" so they're very much invested in the branding, still host the legacy player download, and are trying to rebrand as a Spotify-wannabe.

Still there are plenty of Winamp-likes that aren't C&D'd - just don't use the name "Winamp."

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it's still on github under another account; search "winamp swift" and you'll find it.
