Breadfam! BREAD Distribution Cycle #20 is all done! Our detailed rundown (which you can find in our bio) was sent to newsletter subscriber inboxes the moment distribution happened. Here's a thread with all the details 🧵
OpenAI, Oracle need you to ignore the bottlenecks to sell their vision. Coupled with AI productivity falling well-short of expectations, we probably shouldn't be giving up programming & marketing to be plumbers just yet.

The AI giants, however, can't wait that long. This situation is made worse with more devices than ever being 'smart.'
Cars, watches, washing machines, kitchen appliances all compete for the same parts. AI demand is on course to cannibalise every other industry that depends on advanced memory.
Fixing this won't be easy, either.
- New fabs cost $15-20bn and take 3-5 years to build.
- Micron's Idaho fabs won't be online until 2027.
- Manufacturing capacity for 2028 is already being sold now.
Most analysts don't expect meaningful relief until 2028 at earliest.
- AI data centres will consume 70% of all high-end DRAM in 2026.
- Three companies control 93% of global supply. SK Hynix has already sold out its entire year.
- RAM is up roughly 90% in a single quarter.
The prices reflect the immense stress already being exerted on existing supply chains.
The community online loves an AI inevitability narrative.
Supply chains suggest otherwise.
You can read full article on my Substack, alongside the full podcast episode with machine-learning expert Khasir Hean in my bio.
The only inevitability is supply-chain shocks. A thread👇
Savings Circles/ROSCAs form an invisible layer of the global economy, with over $500B changing hands annually. No credit scores, gatekeepers or lenders. Check our bio for a free guide explaining how this works, and how you can embrace the power of community with Bread Stacks. 🧵
Hello Breadfam! $BREAD Distribution Cycle #19 is in.
@gardens_fund
took home a bigger share than usual this cycle, right after their Members Spotlight. Good to see the community showing up for them. Time for the 🧵
Banking was never built for collectives. Savings circles were. ROSCAs have helped communities access lump sums without loans or credit for generations, a $500B+ market running on trust. We've brought this model online.

Priyal Jain is one of the sharpest marketing minds I know in Web3 and beyond. We caught up on Is This The New Internet? to talk methodology, InfoFI, the death(?) of crypto Twitter & the racism South Asians are faced with in this space.
Available wherever you get your podcasts! Link in bio!
Our first BREAD Member Spotlight is live. Paul Glavin from Gardens talks about what the community can look forward to this month and why your vote matters.
Governance cycle #19 is ongoing. Will Gardens get your vote?

2025 was a rough year for crypto speculation. But it was an incredible year for crypto-led solidarity.

The passion to change the world seems to be fading from the crypto community. I'm learning how to rekindle it through Toronto's drum & bass scene.

So proud of the whole team! Say hello to Bread Cooperative, because all we have to lose are our chains.
