Capitalists always capitulate to fascism. Maybe the problem is capitalism? I am not surprised that they did this, and I don't know if it is possible for them to grow a spine.
I haven't felt like this since the 90s when we all knew we had to be careful what we said or the "Moral Majority" would come after you. Even then, we found our own ways around the system to get the message out. We did the same in the 50s. Looks like we need to do it yet again. Connect, speak out.
I don't have the energy to talk about what I don't like. Life is short. I want to focus on what I love and building a better world. There is too much negativity out there, and I don't want to contribute to it.
I miss talking about the things I love, but everything feels like a minefield. All media is flawed, and I feel like people want everything to be perfect. I don't want to have to start every episode with 30 minutes of caveats and recriminations. I don't have the energy for this landscape we are in.
I feel like this a lot. I feel like such a dinosaur. Next year I will celebrate my 20th year as a podcaster, and podcasting has changed so much, I am not sure I still fit into the medium. Between the trolls and the political purity culture, I have slowed down.
I know I am going to cry through it, but I feel like I need the inspiration from this that it looks like it will give me. Ozzy's music means so much to me. He is and will be missed.

So true. I am at a point in my craft that I am writing and releasing what I want. The market never did anything for me but compromise my vision and cause anxiety. I wish we could make people cherish stories and storytelling again.
I've finished the theme music for the #fictionpodcast. After getting some notes from my friends, I edited it a little. My words, my voice, my music, all coming together to tell my story. This is a thrilling time to be a writer.

I am so excited to hear my character's voices come to life through @elevenlabs.io voice creation. I almost wept when I heard Shinobu and Abbott's voices come alive. I love this process of making my vision come to life.
It is scary seeing the foul head of censorship rise in the US, but if American history has taught me anything, its telling us not to do or say something only makes us do or say it more. We are rebels at heart.
