Yeah I loved it!! When I finished I was obsessed for a bit and sad more people weren’t talking about it lol I think it’s a beautiful story

I thought it was fun to read about such different cultural touchstones/heroes than the ones I grew up with but then like, there’s the kids acting broadly the same lol

I didn’t know much about it prior to reading the book and I think it did? Or at least it wasn’t so confusing that I couldn’t focus on the plot if that makes sense. Like I’m sure a lot of stuff didn’t hit the same but I could get the gist of it (idk if it helped that I spent time in Russia)

So far I have: opened up the outline on my laptop, and also spent an hour doing a deep dive into a friend’s ex when I realized her bio for a fancy thing she’s doing doesn’t mention any partner (and I knew she got married), no thanks to locked instas

They said I had to go to grad school to work in this field but they never said I had to full-ass my classes

I could blame my vacation for keeping me busy but really I think even if I hadn’t been gone for two weeks I would have gotten to this point where I have to write the first draft of a ten page research paper in one day.
