you know the way "why did the Roman Empire fall" and "what are the causes of the First World War" are big questions that sort of function like Rorsharch tests, allowing people to debate ultimately inexplicable moments in history? "Why did no one stop Trump" a decent future shout for the third.

"Reserve your right," Finch tells Vye.
"Reserve my right," says Vye.

Britain, a trading nation, now has a vital choice to make about its priority trading partners:
- the EU, where agreements are made, kept, reciprocal, based on international norms, & enforced by a court
- the USA, where agreements are made, broken, changed & broken again at a whim, with no recourse
im sorry to be so divisive and partisan but i dont think the government should be inventing a criminal history out of thin air to justify sending someone to a concentration camp in a foreign country

Yes I wonder if the guy who's spent the last three months supporting far-right groups was doing a fascist salute it seems so unlike him.

I'm in full support of the Guardian/Observer journos striking today for the future of The Observer, threatened by The Scott Trust’s plan to sell to Tortoise Media. No logic behind the decision, while The Observer risks becoming a stripped-down website

The lack of charging infrastructure is what put me off getting an EV recently, with no off street parking for at home charging I didn’t want the stress/time worry of relying solely on public charging.
So damp still on lunchtime walk. Living in the Scottish west coast means you need to get used to cold humidity!
Rhubarb leaves have finally succumbed to the autumn cold following Storm Bert. Compost pile awaits!
