I carried around a set of Inktense watersoluble pencils in my plein air painting bag around since the start of #pleinairpril but today I finally used them. Added details with gouache on top but the contrast is so much nicer than what I get with gouache only! 🤩
I really want to go to local (ish) art and gamedev meetups but I‘m so bad at talking to strangers so I‘m afraid I‘d just not talk to anyone 🫠
We don‘t have that here, I really want to see this irl some day!

Interesting, I have not! It also comes in waves for me, but I found I have to put in some effort to get back on the wave sometimes 🌊

Mostly plein air, then the rest is invented from (a somewhat romanticized) memory. Like all convincing stories.

This came off more negative than I meant it. I just like to see where I can improve because learning is fun, and the desirable flow state happens when you‘re challenged just enough but not too much!

#pleinairpril I tried to focus on the light/dark contrast, which I still find tricky with gouache and it still looks quite flat. man, this challenge really shows me what I still wanna improve on!
I‘m like that with mountains! Where I live there aren’t any so I just don’t understand them 😆
