Meta just paid the lowest effective federal tax rate in its history.

Thanks to tax breaks and loopholes, it avoided $13.7B in 2025 federal income taxes.

But now it's planning to lay off 10% of its global workforce (8,000 people) by May 20 — with more job cuts later this year.

Trickle down hoax.

Tesla saved $400 million on its federal taxes by shifting billions of its U.S. profits to countries with lower tax rates.

Yes: While you paid your taxes in full, giant corporations maneuvered to pay as little as possible — and it’s all perfectly legal for them.

The system is rigged.

Today I turn 89. I’ve seen this country at its best and its worst, and I know how much community matters. For my birthday, I’m asking you to stand with PFLAG and support the work that’s helped so many in the LGBTQ+ community, including me. give.pflag.org/page/95493/d...

Fox News beta cuck Sean Hannity: “As of today, I no longer consider myself a Catholic.”

Not only selling out your dignity and integrity but also your eternal afterlife for a man who would push you in front of a bus if you got in his way.

Good work.

Reform losing more than half of its seats when it’s ahead in the polls is an interesting indicator.

The Stiff Records Story - Richard Balls.
Cannot recommend this book enough, especially if you were around at the time. Fully researched with lots of details about the releases and context of the time. A label that subverted the orthodoxy, had some successes and a lot of stiffs

Green MP: Labour caricatures working-class people over greyhound racing Hannah Spencer says minister ‘continuously offends people by saying working-class people don’t care about dogs’

Hannah added: “I get offended when I hear the argument made that it is working class. Working-class people are fed up with gambling companies being able to wreak havoc in people’s lives.”

Absolutely 💯. Gambling, shitty fast food (and shops that sell non-food foodstuffs), vape shops. And advertising hordings for all the above plus alcohol. Ross Greer (@scottishgreens.org MUST notice this- the strange border between Bearsden/Drumchapel makes it VERY noticeable).

Maggie Chapman: Violent far-right thugs will not scare me into silence ‘I’D love to fucking slit her throat.” I have spent a fair bit of time over the last couple of weeks thinking about that single sentence.

"Many of the same voices who shout the loudest about“protecting women & girls”from so-called“fighting-aged immigrant men”are silent about the reality of violence against women in our own society..." @maggiechapman.bsky.social on threats & violence against women.
