To be clear, this is not a bitch about me owing a bit more -- I was expecting to owe money this year anyway. I'm a bit annoyed because TurboTax told me I would be getting a modest amount back, so having to pay more was a bit of a surprise.
Fortunately, spouse's return more than offsets mine.

Within minutes of us sending in our returns, I got email back from the CRA with my notice of assessment. It said that I would get my money (if any) within ten days -- but that I should log in and check the results.
Good thing I logged in. The CRA was all like, "Sorry - you owe us a bit more, mate."

We did a bit of adulting yesterday and filed our taxes.
TurboTax (with my permission) went into my CRA account and automatically imported my T4A, T3s, T5s, etc. I basically just went, "Uh, yeah, that's all good." and sent the return.
If the CRA already had all that, why did I even have to file?

Shaved roast beef sandwich on dark and light swirled rye bread. It's shot from an angle that shows the various layers; roast beef, sliced dill pickles, tomatoes, sliced American cheese, and slices of onions. Small dollops of hot German mustard can be seen on the meat, and near the edges of the bread.
As a break from current affairs, here is the sandwich I made for lunch.
I like the look of the swirled, dark and light rye bread.
I couldn't really taste much difference between this and standard Winnipeg-style light rye, but I think this looks cooler.
