The gnomes held a No Kings parade at the beach this morning. It was almost too windy to fly the giant knitted balloons, but they had a little help from a friendly gull.

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

I've been knitting gnomes! No one is more surprised than I am, but the fiddly little details are quite absorbing...and addictive.

Thank you! I actually wish I had more of that gray with the neon speckle. The Hanami stole is a truly gorgeous design and a pleasure to knit.

This week's #showmeyourknits is Gray. My knitting preferences run to the brightest colors possible, so I have just two items to show. Here we have the breathtaking Hanami Stole, by Melanie Gibbons, and Oban Hat, by Thea Coleman. I've knit both patterns twice; both highly recommended!
