i cut to fascia now and while i should probably be going to the e.r. i rlly dont want to so im doing all these same things + using inadine dressings (can be ordered online) and so far ive had zero issues. good luck and you can dm me for advice if you need

for anything deeper than styros, the usual advice is going to the e.r. for stitches but if you cant, dont panic. basically apply all the same steps - clean hands, re-dress every 24 hrs, let it scab. ive only ever had an infection w a beans cut once (bc i ran out of bandaids)

for anything shallower than styros, you can get away with a lot. basically just bandaids will work. when the cut starts producing that scab fluid, stop using bandaids/bandages and let the crust form. at this point you're completely safe from risk of infection

hey!! i have some advice that ive gotten straight from e.r. doctors. when cleaning your cuts, do not use anything but warm water. no soap, no antiseptic for anything deeper than small styros. for styros of any depth, change the bandage once every 24 hours for 3-4 days. wash your hands etc

ohhh yes haha just an imprint!! and thank you very much, it *is* uncomfortable to walk on :') unintendedly nicked the fascia. fingers crossed for myself

ah, it's residue from my inadine patches! i use them on bigger cuts such as this one, to stave off infection. when i remove it, the blood and wound fluids that clung to the dressing sort of make the pattern.
