Here are the top performers in the S&P 500 year to date.
What’s interesting is not just the numbers, but the names. Most of these stocks are not the ones dominating headlines, podcasts, or dinner-party market chat. And that’s the point.

Fear in the market just hit extreme levels. A bottom may be forming. #stocks #investing #wealth
Did the markets just bottom? Stocks ripped, the Fed turned dovish, Bitcoin bounced off 80k, and the S&P held the line. Fear looks exhausted… and that’s usually where the real move starts.

More movement for Rigetti. Quantum maybe in a bubble and Wall Street quants could be driving it, but bubbles don’t pop immediately. As long as there’s over 100m in volume, there will be movement both ways on this. Very volatile from here
I’m a South Carolina supporter. Think we were robbed against LSU and should have been in. I saw the same play happen with Clemson Texas this weekend to a different outcome. Anyway, there’s my bias😂
I don’t care for Tennessee one bit and won’t defend them. I just think anyone who wants to constantly talk about the three SEC teams that’s didn’t get in, wouldn’t have been willing to bet all they have on “most deserving” SMU, IU, Clemson, Boise etc to beat them
Won’t defend Tennessee, they were awful. Remember ACC got two teams in. The ACC champion was 0-3 to the SEC. Other ACC team got smacked by Penn State. Have whatever opinions you want but you wouldn’t bet your life on Boise, SMU, IU etc beating Bama, SC, Ole Miss. OSU, Oregon are good vs any team
Always respectful. Everyone entitled to their opinions. Have a great Christmas
My only comment to that is if you put SMU against Mizzou, Vandy, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, OU, TAMU, they would lose more than two. I didn’t even name the ones with a case for CFP or in CFP
South Carolina should have been in the playoff.
I didn’t defend Texas. If I had to I would talk about their talent and ask who would match up well with them in the ACC or Big 12. An 11-2 team that lost twice to Georgia is better than an 11-2 team that lost to Clemson and BYU
Questionable schedule for sure. Won’t defend their schedule. I just think it’s a very easy decision to not put in SMU after losing to Clemson. Bama, South Carolina, ole miss wouldn’t be down 28 at half to Penn state worrying about an atmosphere. SMU are un defendable imo at this point
All three I mentioned have a chance to go to Penn State and Win. SMU couldn’t even beat a Clemson team that had struggled all year. IMO Clemson took the spot from SMU when they beat them and SMU should have been nowhere near. They beat no good teams. None
The three loss teams may not win the natty but they’d have more of a chance than the ones I’ve mention. They aren’t three loss teams in Big 12, ACC etc
Call it hypothetical all you want. Indiana beat no one. SMU lost to a te South Carolina beat on the road in a rivalry game.
Should have just scheduled the teams those other ones did
Everyone knew IU would lose first round. Everyone knew SMU weren’t good enough. You just see the schedules of these teams and know they shouldn’t be in. Wouldn’t fair well with the schedule of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina
Penn state, Notre Dame, SMU, Clemson, Indiana, Boise are not better than the three SEC teams that were left out. All would be favored in the match ups which makes the playoff dumb
One of the three loss teams has a great road record. Only loss by 2 to bama but beat Clemson, OU (by a lot), Vandy (by a lot), Kentucky (by a lot) on the road. South Carolina should have been in.
Same people who have been calling for a recession for the last decade as markets have continually gone up, are the ones claiming to be right now as we get a small pull back. Pull backs from all time highs are normal. #Markets #Stocks #econsky #Economy
Another nice move for #RigettiComputing and quantum computing in general #QuantumComputing #Stocks #Markets
401ks with at least $1 million now at 544,000 up 56%.
Average 401k balance at $132,300, up 23% YoY.
More and more capital is being locked up and automatically invested. This, IMO, is why recessions are become less and shorter and bull markets are extending
