A well written and very interactive explainer of signals and modern reactivity!
Too many Canadians reading this thinking: โyes thank god, this better not be fakeโ ๐
Yeah that pretty much sums it up ๐ ๐
I personally disagree with Roger Griffin. Illiberal democracy isn't a potent enough word. Neo-fascism is far more accurate and captures what we're experiencing. I could probably defend that as well.
If you're wondering what's up with all this talk with the word "fascism" these days, you would enjoy watching this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV8K.... This is basically the content you'd learn and first year political science.
Iโm one of those citizens. I walk to the lakeshore and boat to the island at least 1-2 times a week during the summer. The airport has never impacted my enjoyment of that. Matter of fact I love the convenience of the airport why I fly out for work.
Housing development on an island for how many ppl vs $2.1 billion in total economic output, 4,000 jobs (more than 2,000 of which directly support airport operations), and medevac services connected to local hospitals.
Right. That makes a lot of sense.
Fascinating. I think weโre going to see a LOT more of this with AI.
Lastly, time is literally money when it's about utilizing their time (if you saw the billables your eyes would bleed). When it comes to your time though, it's abundant and so they can be so irreverent.
Someone please disrupt this space. If not...I'll do it myself. :p
Everything is aligned to the disadvantage of the entity licensing the software. It's practically anti-user experience at every level. What I hear often is "this is how it has been and probably will continue to be". There's a complete lack of interest in easing the burden for adoption.
About once a year I rant about the state of ERP platforms. I'm due for one so here it is.
The ERP industry has to be the most deficient niche I've seen in the software industry. Every project seems to be death by a thousand cuts due to legacy/deficient software and horribly archaic process.
The odd part is we're on the same side here. As dog owners we get the brunt of the shit, literally. We walk our dogs more frequently in the same areas as ppl who don't scoop so it's more of an annoyance for us. Most of the time we end up stepping in it or scooping other peoples dog's poop.
No, the owners that do probably shouldn't be dog owners.
Do you think anyone should own a dog in a city?
Same.
As a dog owner, I'd probably make a point to walk to the closest garbage bin, even if it was out of my way. Probably just throw it out at home.
I'm a dog person. I would never do something like that. You forgot the third on your list:
0. Obnoxious people who call other people the worst
:p
Iโm trying to find photos of it. Hard to believe there was a space like that in my area
What seriously?! Thatโs so cool

Iโm a ginger with blue eyes who looks Irish but is 100% Italian. I confuse a lot of ppl ๐
I recently contributed a #Solid Query and #SolidStart implementation for Orval (orval.dev). It generates type-safe primitives from OpenAPI.
Enjoy. โค๏ธ๐ฅณ
