Leute, solange Volume 4 von PANELS noch durch die Druckpresse gejagt wird, gibt es diesen Samstag auf der CMC Bremen noch die Gelegenheit, die Volumes 1-3 zu kaufen und ganz schnell durchzulesen, damit ihr auf dem neuesten Stand für die lang ersehnten Fortsetzungen seid. Wir sehen uns!

Here we go again! Zum zweiten Mal laden wir ein zum Zine Markt Bremen. Letztes Jahr war toll, dieses wird noch cooler – seid ihr dabei? 📆 26. + 27. Juli 2025, 11 – 18 Uhr 📍 Dechanatstraße 13-15, 28195 Bremen 💸 Keine Standgebühren & freier Eintritt für alle Artists können sich ab sofort bis zum 30. April bewerben. Schreibt uns eine Mail an zinemarktbremen@proton.me und lasst uns darin folgendes wissen: - Name / Artist Name - Ein paar Worte zu euch / eurer Arbeit - Portfolio / Social Media Link - Fotos von euren Arbeiten - Ob ihr euren Tisch teilen würdet - Ob wir euch auf unseren Social Media Kanälen (bluesky, cara, pixelfed) teilen dürfen (alle unsere Posts werden mit Glaze und Nightshade geschützt) Bewerben können sich alle, die Zines, Comics, Prints, Illus machen (aber nur, wenn ihr die auch selbst macht. • An explanatory poster in DIN A3 landscape format explaining dermoplastics, a form of animal taxidermy. The poster is in German. The drawings were made analogue with watercolours and pencil and then edited digitally. The background consists of dark green brush strokes that have a grass-like structure. Most of the other drawings are outlined in black ink with simple, realistic colours. The orange title says “Is that animal real?! Making of a dermoplastic for the museum”. The upper left corner shows a realistic drawing of a “sleeping” tiger, while the lower right corner shows a tiger mounted on a rock, standing upright. They are connected by a row of 8 polaroid pictures and red arrows, showing the different steps of creating a dermoplastic. Each picture has a short written explanation underneath, their drawing style is more sketchy. Picture 1 shows the skeletonisation. Picture 2 shows an anatomical drawing of the tigers muscles in profile. Picture 3 shows the skin being (a bit too literal) prepared. Picture 4 shows the skeleton being reassembled into the desired position. Picture 5 shows how plasticine is used to sculpt an anatomically correct body onto the bones. Picture 6 shows a tiger plaster cast with only the plasticine head sticking out, which is later used to create a rigid foam model of the tiger. Picture 7 shows how the foam model is dressed in the tiger skin. Picture 8 shows the mounted tiger getting its last details and fur styling. Several other details of taxidermy are scattered around this main part. This includes sticky notes listing possible difficulties with dermoplatics, other tasks of taxidermists in museum, a short explanation about the duration as well as my name and sources. In the lower left corner are spread out several common but also more specialised tools used in taxidermy. There is also a small double picture frame showing a very dead tiger with its tongue sticking out and a shiny, stylish tiger, underlining the “make over” aspect.
