Not that tech won't change things (a lot, in the medium term), the exuberance is the expectation that they'll all be in on the ground floor and become masters of the universe.

Good observation. Maybe normally an increase in UE is read as a sign that aggregate demand is faltering (irrational exuberance waking up to reality) while the expectations about AI are irrational exuberance on steroids.

This one seems to have caused panic, and it’s pretty bleak that a picture of a guy smashing a statue of a dude who died two thousand years ago is more internationally disastrous than hundreds of hours of video of civilians being bombed, burned, machine gunned, sniped, evicted and starved.
