one way to avoid having a measles outbreak at the child concentration camp would be to not have a child concentration camp
I’d do the ones you can - even a 10% drop in earnings is a drop that will harm the company… so if I do some and you did some, it would still make an impact.
@padilla.senate.gov @schiff.senate.gov before you vote, review the judge’s order in the thread. No amount of restrictions on ICE, especially with zero enforcement makes sense.
Abolish ICE, no money to DHS… we cannot pay them to further erode the rule of law. For the love of America and your oath.
Because those consequences would regularly be enforced by the DOJ onto itself but we don’t have that type of DOJ anymore.
And this is why @dscc.bsky.social, you must abolish ICE. There is no option when the agency defies orders with impunity, and we have no way to enforce the orders.
You are currently America’s only check against this agency, and you cannot count on the agency to follow the law.
Abolish ICE.
They do track you and know you and your thinking, often better than you know yourself. It is a different type of stealing/lack of privacy for the user imho, but it gives us better results and leads us to businesses so…
For any elected official who needs to hear this, I impart a lesson learned from the NFL:
When the other team is tired and on the back foot, you don’t call a timeout so they can catch their breath. You grind their fucking face into the dirt until the final whistle blows and you’ve won the game.
A reminder of how having been on the right side of history will look to your kids and grandkids.
Because somehow the polls still show the President has an enormous amount of support. His ratings look no different than his last term around the same time but this term is vastly different.
Meritocracy, baby!
Dear Billionaires Who Supported Trump:
You really need to think about these things more seriously, even if you're motivated purely by self-interest, which you shouldn't be.
Your first priority should be the rule of law. Think of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, and the ten years he spent in jail.
“men”
Sigh.
I believe he was also once Elon Musk’s OC and Tesla’s GC for a minute.
Protection under the constitution is of no use if you can't find a law firm willing to represent you to assert that protection.
Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post would not run this ad. This is the power of oligarchy.
Government should NEVER be run like a corporation.
A corporation is a wealth-concentration engine. It funnels wealth from many to few.
Government is its polar opposite, distributing resources in a way that benefits everyone.
Running government like a business just makes for bad government.
The Chiefs can still be named Super Bowl champions if Mike Pence has the courage.
Jimmy Carter Appreciation 🧵:
As we mourn Carter's death, there will be lots of discussion of his presidency and his post-presidential exploits, including his work with @habitatforhumanity.bsky.social and the @cartercenter.bsky.social.
But I want to talk about Carter and the federal judiciary....
There have been some great changes from 2016 when I posted this on X. The USPTO the past few years had a sharp focus on this under Kathi Vidal.
This is an archived post from Feb 2017 - can you see that (not sure if only I can)? It was a part of transferring my X account.
What we do matters. #OnTyranny
Used #NotebookLM to create an AI podcast about SB1047 and the controversy around it leading to Governor @GavinNewsom’s veto, and included Senator @Scott_Wiener’s response.
For GenAI technology at its infancy, it leaves you in disbelief.
Take a listen -...
Yes, we have an EO (TY @JoeBiden), but given our Constitution’s limits on Executive Power, Congress needs to act swiftly.

Congress should ask @hlntnr and @TashaMcCauley to help write legislation ASAP. The two women, who tried to change the trajectory of AGI, were silenced and removed from the Board. AGI shouldn’t be regulated by capitalism.
As the Twitterverse reflects on #EffectiveAltruism, I am reminded of this piece by @darrenwalker of @FordFoundation from 2015 and it still resonates.
