Missed the parade but still got to watch the whales hanging out close to shore during dinner.

"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.
(I could also stand to be less reliant on Wacom products too, since the two seem to be working together to hasten premature hardware obsolescence, but really can't afford all new stuff right now.)

Quitting Adobe turned out to be easier than expected for me; no adobe software has recognized pen pressure on my big cintiq for years (all other software works fine) and nvidia stopped supporting the gpu of my mobile studio a few months ago (no software has a problem with this except Adobe's).

Hundreds of thousands of people attend San Diego Comic-Con each year and the excitement that generates isn't because they're eager to meet a computer spitting out homogenized slop. Artists, writers, actors and other creatives gather and celebrate the popular arts in person because the people part of the equation is what matters most. I support SDCC's position on this and hope other conventions follow suit if they haven't already.
