Screenshot of the Atlantic Signal exchanges, including Michael Waltz saying "the first target - their top missile guy - we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend's building and it's now collapsed".
Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?

Sorry to beat a dead horse today but the first real scandal of the Trump administration being the flawed PROCESS of committing war crimes instead of the war crimes themselves is driving me a little crazy!

Like yeah, it’s bad they were using Signal, but also why are we bombing Yemen and how often do these strikes happen and the general public of the US never knows, regardless of who is in the White House?

While there was certainly more we could have done to make this board stronger, I am hopeful it is a positive step in creating more accountability for police abuse of power.

After recommendations from the 21CP report, this board has some new features that are intended to create more transparency about accountability for police use of force. Some of these include moving to public meetings, ward-based appointees & a requirement to host annual educational events.

The Truth about Retail Theft

Hi Brad! The retail theft panic and subsequent locking up items is on the retailers who ginned up a narrative that is widely untrue. More surveillance and buying into this false narrative won’t help people be able to buy their toothbrush or keep anyone safe. www.vera.org/news/the-tru...

It takes all of us being diligent to keep one another safe and healthy and I definitely haven’t appreciated that as highly until I became immunocompromised. I know it can be challenging but I want to share this in hopes that next time you are sick, you’ll take extra precautions to not share. ❤️

I just can’t understate how much this has sucked and despite my very imperfect efforts to mask up in most spaces, I neglected to a few times last week and am sorely regretting it. Someone I was meeting with sneezed and I remember thinking, “Oh no”. But even if I had been masking, it’s still not 100%

I’ve been laid out with the flu all week and it’s the first time I’ve had it while on this medication. Before I might be tired a day or two & have some congestion. This has absolutely wrecked my entire week & I’ve felt *horrible*. Today is the 1st I’ve been out of bed for more than an hour.

As someone who is immunocompromised due to a medication I have to take, I am begging you to - at the very least - stay home if you’re sick. Even if you think it’s just a cold! It could be something else & will hit someone like me way harder than it got you. And please wear a mask if you must go out!
