this gives me a good idea: i'll try to keep a running thread of things that are union-busting that you might not know are union-busting.
ERGs are one to start.
another one: employee satisfaction surveys! corporations use them to see where agitation is that could potentially lead to a union
I would kill and/or die for the edit team.
Editors are the proletariat of the publishing industry. We are being pushed out by machines because our labor is seen as replaceable. We get paid dogshit by most companies. But w/o us, machines homogenize and fail to detect critical context and sensitivity problems. W/o us, your book looks bad.
Why was I invited to Beast Studios?

The image is of Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr from Pathfinder society gazing upon a compass in her left hand with a quill in her right while gems float around her head in a circle as she sits at a desk with beakers and flasks full of multi-colored liquid in front of a window. In the top right corner of the image is the "Pathfinder Society" logo.
What mysteries will enfold by way of the clockwork compass? Embark on new adventures in Pathfinder Society Year 8, starting with today's blog!

i think if you tweet "a whole civilization will die tonight" you shouldn't go to the hague, the hague should get to come to you
People defeated scarcity. Everyone had what they needed, and nobody got sick, but they found that they needed things to be just a little bit difficult once in a while. They needed to stub their toe and wait in line and see that check engine light. They decided to leave their existence just a little short of perfect, because they wanted to want.
I'm already crying about space so a reminder that @jonbois.bsky.social maybe made the best piece of art of the 21st century so far here www.sbnation.com/a/17776-foot...
Top image with Jerry saying, "You're crying because of Artemis II?" Bottom image with George saying, "The spirit of space travel got to me." Jerry then says, "Alright."
The only way to begin is by beginning. And season 8 is beginning soon...

I went back to capture what the astronauts said in full when the clock was stopped at T-10 minutes and they were asked if they were go for launch:
This is Victor. We are going for our families.
This is Christina. We are going for our teammates.
This is Jeremy. We are going for all humanity.
