Finally feeling like my journey to build GreenWave is coming to an end. I've been working on this synth for about 4 years now.

I had no idea Jack Black was in an episode of X-Files.

Pokemon table

The Pokemon pinball table is lit for sure.

Very good theme integration and super smooth.

Very cool. 90% of what you learn to make Godot shaders is applicable to other shader engines so this can really pay off.

Woah that actually sounds very cool!

Do you have any links or anything? I would love to check that out.

I'm playing around with the idea of a MIDI plugin which allows the users to load Lua scripts which can mutate the midi buffer in real time.

I finally have a valid reason to add a PANIC button to something I'm making though so that's fun.

Very high chance of having rogue midi messages when you are developing midi effects.

I think the dark/grey background is the move.

I put a ton of work into the 3d background but personally I think the flat version just looks better. Not as cool but more usable maybe?

Nothing but captchas and very slow loading pages these days.

Lots, and lots of browser crashes. Regardless of what fork I use and how its compiled/packaged.

Honestly I'm somewhat close to giving up on FF.

The internet seems to have given up on FF.

I think even Mozilla has more or less given up on FF.

Oh... This is considerably less cool than I hoped lol.

Now I want a real TUI monster collector game.

What's this? Looks fun.

Video

Here's what the crushing animation for this plugin looks like in action.

It's currently composed of only 30 frames, I'm thinking 60 will look even better.

I'm not sure how I personally feel about skeuomorphic plugin UIs in general but people seem to really it.

So, here's some renders of the actual plugin UI.

Feels like I'm spending more time in Blender than I am writing code lately. but things are looking pretty good.

Every single time I use GH Actions I have to make a post/rant about how much I strongly dislike it.

Finally hit the GH copilot rate limit...

The hardcore Linux way to quickly trim a video though is just `ffmpeg` CLI.

Shotcut - Home Shotcut is a free, open source, cross-platform video editor for Windows, Mac and Linux

The video editing landscape on Linux is not ideal.

I like Shotcut:

KDEnlive is the standard but a little heavy for sure.

Blender is also a pretty capable video editor as well.

Thanks for sharing this. I've been looking for a canvas library to handle visualisations like this. I keep coming back to the idea that canvas is pretty capable on its own and a thin wrapper/library around it is all you need.

This really reinforces that conclusion.

What software do you use to make this visualisations?
