Hey I helped crowdfund this 4 years ago! Can't wait to watch the finished cut!

You can directly map fall off on my Letterboxd activity to busy times at work, where I’m just watching one unreleased movie repeatedly; likely more than any one person ever will again.
Thanks for the kind words!
Started S5 of For All Mankind last night, and so glad to be back in that world. The slow boil of each season progressively becoming more sci-fi has brought us to a proto-The Expanse world by the 2010s. Really excellent storytelling, scratching that DS9-era Trek itch that modern Trek has left behind.
I thought the marketing folks did a good job!
And here's the trailer! The Furious is coming for your eyeballs in 66 days....
I can help with part of 2) - May 29th.
Hey our poster dropped!
Watch #TheFurious - In theaters May 29.
Whoa! How did I miss Brian K. Vaughan (Creator of Saga, Y: The Last Man, Paper Girls, Ex Machina, Spectators) was co-writing Dune 3?
I’m pretty good by all those wins. Lot of great movies last year.
@iamlazarusjones.bsky.social and I went to House of Kong last night, and it was so cool. Even I, a casual Gorillaz enjoyer, thought it was brilliant. Definitely some traces of Punchdrunk flavors in there, that made me miss Burnt City and Sleep No More all over again.
Respect. If I’m the only one eating the salad, why am I gonna dirty another bowl?
If you're texting or scrolling during Sadako's tape, do you think the Ring curse still takes hold?
At 35% human, I think you qualify as a cyborg. Preference in head mounted laser pointer color?
Right now in the Jaws exhibit at the Academy Museum, they have Verna Fields Moviola, next to Super-8 footage Spielberg shot of her in the cutting room. It's crazy to watch her muscle memory as she carries on a conversation and continues to operate the Moviola without missing a beat.
After rewatching the extended LOTR in theaters for the 25th anniversary, I decided to revisit the novels for the first time since middle school. My thoughts around Chapter 8...
Without fail, though I rarely agree with his rankings or even the picks, these countdowns are one of my favorite pieces of editing of the year, and reminds me why movies are essential.
@evanschiff.com building Frankenstein piece by piece
Really cool walk-through of all his timelines.

As a picture editor, David's montages are one of my favorite pieces of editing craft each year (even if sometimes his rankings are absolutely wild).
At some point in the last year, the bar where we intermittently play pub trivia added Vesper martinis, much to my delight.
Here’s a lovely piece Netflix cut together focusing on my work editing Frankenstein!
Went to Costco with my MIL this AM and the tenderloin and rib roast prices bowled me over. We were already doing seafood tomorrow but I offered to cook an alternative for some of the family that doesn’t love fish. Landed on a frenched rack of pork instead.
One of my favorite landscapes I’ve ever explored.
Final theatrical mix completed.
Coming at you next year.
Hurtful frankly.
We went to a FYC screening and at the Q&A Rian dug into some of that. He was very in the evangelical church until his early 20s. I feel, much like Silence, the religous conversation of WUDM is one that can only come from growing up in that world, and spending actual time interrogating those beliefs.
We’re going tomorrow! Having only seen Burnt City and Sleep No More from the director, I’m super curious to see him tackle a traditional seated show.
