Just watched a video of a simple "how's your heart?" And started crying. It hurts. It's heavy. It's tired and yet it's still gasping for air, for hope. I'm not good at being this broken all the time. It just isn't sustainable... and yet I will wake up tomorrow, be a parent..and chug along. Broken

I want to peel my flesh off from watching the way The Orange tyrant and his pet just treated Zelenskyy. The composure he kept in the face of their childish rampage is impressive... I really didn't think there was room for me to be MORE ashamed of my country- and yet here we are. I hate it here.

Im not sure if it's my age, or the state of the world, or both~but I've finally reached the point in my life where I spend more time reading, journaling, canning/dehydrating & gardening than I do going out, watching TV or scrolling social media.

Time still doesn't seem to feel real. I can't even pinpoint it, but days pass like blinks, but 2 blinks feels like a week. I'm slamming through banned books faster than I've read- ever. I'm on my 4th book in about a month. Maybe that's where time went lol

When we are aware that the division is a tool that benefits the ones at the top... how do we NOT have animosity towards those who voted for this and are STILL not remorseful? I can't bridge the divide with the people cheering for Trumps chaos. But we need them to wake up. How though??

Things I'm doing that feels like it's helping me:
•buying & reading banned books
•visiting the library & reading to my child about voting & resistance
•planting seeds
•dehydrating foods
•art.
•journaling
•spending more time in nature

I am hyper-aware that now would be the time for me to shut up. To stop sharing my opinion & stance. To be quiet & blend in for saftey. And yet I can't. I am so angry and so unwilling(unable?) to go silent & pretend this isn't the bad place. We are clearly screwed. And I can't bite my tongue on it.
