yeah at the end of the day i don’t really care if people play casually but a bunch of people seem to care a whole lot if i play competitively for some reason.

i think it’s more likely to happen in any game that has a destructive ruleset. Not that destructive rulesets are bad but they’re common in games that weren’t originally balanced around a competitive game mode. Smash is another good example.

not really restricted to kids or media aimed at kids, i played competitive tf2 for years and there are a bunch of people who hate competitive tf2 players because they think they ruined the game.

if other people are biking that means they aren’t driving a car which ultimately benefits you because you, to your own words, have to drive to work. There will be less cars in traffic so you can commute faster. It could also be that you drive to work but can bike to the store, reducing traffic.

There are places with worse weather that bike all the time. Also drivers are incredibly entitled. Roads are subsidized by the federal government as well as by everyone who doesn’t own a car. People outside of a car also have to deal with more negative externalities of cars (pollution, accidents)

I have a small theatre near me so thankfully it’s usually not too bad. Worst is usually seeing animated films. That being said the mario movie was actually pretty quiet but i saw it midday so it was a pretty empty theatre.
