There’s something unspeakably shameful The United States letting people go hungry.
Not because its government doesn’t fix it —
but because tomorrow a few private Americans could, and never notice the cost.
That’s the part that sits wrong.
It is surprising to me that none of the major platforms have actual _parental control_ features so that we can limit the amount of time that our parents can spend online, and which apps they’re allowed to use. I don’t worry about my teenager’s use of the internet at all, just my octogenarian dad’s.

Why is it that this country always has endless money for war but not for housing? Bombs but not books? Missiles but not Medicaid? Our priorities are not just backward — they're being driven by wealthy war hawks hellbent on padding their pockets.
I suspect there is a large Venn Diagram gap between people who dismiss Lander's arrest as a stunt and people who have had a hostile interaction with law enforcement

The premise here, just to spell it out, is that no black person, woman, queer person, etc., has EVER genuinely accomplished something. Every time it ever seemed like they had, it was just white people virtue-signaling by using them as tokens or whatever

DO NOT LET THE REPUBLICANS GUT SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICAID! Stand up NOW or pass the leadership position to someone who will fight.
Please share widely. I'm not above begging for Retweets if it means we end up showing how much New Yorkers, even those that initially opposed the program, now see the necessity of Congestion Pricing and show up to Oppose Trump's nonsense.
