Finished Pokopia and was ready to do some dream builds but I found all
these block and furniture recipes I found so far are random drops in a pool of 300+ different recipes and the game offers a *chance* to come across like 6 of them once per day.

The cool thing about the Fire Emblem series is how the core formula has been the since the very first entry. If you are a fan of the modern games you can easily play some of the earlier entries and “get it”. The core gameplay is the same just with slightly different math and missing QoL features.

In the past year, I have beaten Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Three Houses, Fates, Path of Radiance and Gaiden for the first time. All thats left are the Super Famicom games and Radiant Dawn and thats every mainline FE game made before Engage.

Spent 130+ hours doing gimmicky gameplay on repetitive maps w/ a story that’s middling at best and abysmal dogshit at worse.

Overall, Fire Emblem Fates is an utter disappointment. Just play Conquest. Can’t believe they would sell two other campaigns that are objectively worse in every way.

Another thing left out was how the controversial spear-chucking tribal infected that appeared in the 2nd act of the game were never shown in prerelease promotion. Capcom figured this shit would have drawn additional controversy but were too deep in development to correct it.
