Decided to do some more tinkering today and put together a design for a DeceptiCobra bookmark to go along with the keychains I made earlier. I put it together from scratch and ran it through a couple of revisions before settling on the far right one as the final.
As promised, here are the purple "DeceptiCobra" keychains.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: The original plan for the DeceptiCobra symbol was to be colored black & purple, but it seems my purple filament got lost in shipping. So I went instead with classic Cobra colors of blue & red for now. I'll do a batch of black & purple in the future.]
Much like the Transformers on which they are partially based, there's more to these keychains than meets the eye, as each comes with an embedded NFC tag that can be programmed for a variety of functions.
After getting my 3D printer for myself on my birthday, I decided to try my hand at some 3D modeling to bring the symbols to life. These keychains are the result.
ICYMI, some time back, I tinkered with my own mash-up combining the Autobot and G.I. Joe logos into a unified faction symbol. And yes, I also did a "DeceptiCobra" faction symbol.

This got me thinking ... this could be a great idea for a pet's ID tag. If your lost pet is found, someone could scan the tag and immediately know where to return it (be it your home, your vet, etc.).
One of the programmable options for the NFC tags I've added to the keychains is to add a "Destination Address". When tapped to a phone, this pulls up Google Maps w/ directions to get from where you are to where is listed.
Threw together a 3D design based around the combo #GIJoe and #Autobots logo I drew before and made a couple of batches of these cool keychains. And much like the #Transformers on which is based, there's more to these keychains than meter the eye ... by way of embedded NFC tags. #3Dprinting
I want to crack jokes. I want to find something witty to say. But I just can't. Even as a writer, I can't find the right words to make this any better. I wish I could.
We need to make sure that, as we rebuild and restore a sense of sanity to our nation, we remember these moments and just how bad it can when the inmates run the asylum ... and we make sure to never let it happen again.
Cheesy Cobra references aside, the truth is this is pure 100 percent uncut insanity unfolding before our very eyes. I don't want to believe we're past the point of no return, but I will say that it's no longer enough for this entire administration to be excised from office.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to learn he'd to use the Artemis II mission to scout out just the right location to carve his face onto the surface of the moon with a giant space laser ... which, unironically, was also the plot of a GI Joe episode ("Lasers in the Night").
Trump is unhinged, deranged, and delusional. His only concern is to be recognized and memorialized. He doesn't care WHY he's remembered, so long as no one ever forgets him ... even if the whole fucking world burns to ash in the process.
"Give me what I want by 8 PM or a whole civilization will die" is NOT the thinking of a proper world leader. It's the genocidal rhetoric and the monologuing of a fucking '80s cartoon supervillain. Did I fall asleep and wake up in the "Worlds Without End" episode of GI Joe? (Look it up)
Printed this Serpentor bust and decided to reprint the base, not only with different colors I have, but tweaking the base to test out the multicolor printing. I also used the base ironing function to smooth the top layers.
Made this for a friend on my #ANYCUBIC #KobraX: a Moogle deck & dice box. Before anyone asks, it's not my pattern. The pompom comes off to store the dice & the head lifts up to store cards. I think it came out great! Plus, learned a few things to help with future 3D prints. #3Dprinting
Also, this is why I'm so proud of my friend @wldcard.bsky.social for all the progress he's made on his novel. It's work.

On a positive note, the store did take it on return without any problem. The bummer is that's the SECOND birthday gift this week that's gone sideways and I've not been able to actually get.

If the post was part of the back case, maybe, since they're all generally the same. But since it's the front, that would require trying to transfer the label. Plus, the warp seems to be related to a hard to see crack where the pins are.
Well damn. I FINALLY find a copy of this in the wild and pick it up, only to find out the case is warped and one of the screws is missing ... because the interior post it's meant to screw into had broken off. I couldn't hear it because it had been opened and the plastic bit removed.

Not gonna lie ... the fact that @aewontv.bsky.social liked post this is the icing on the proverbial birthday cake.
