Together with Upper Lumi WRUA & Taita Taveta County, we planted 1,006 trees along Lumi River and held powerful talks with Chala River & Lake Chala communities on sustainable water conservation.
Communities + gov + partners = a thriving water future!.

Why do we still call it wastewater? The word itself is the problem. It makes people think dirty, useless, disposable. In reality, it’s often just used water that can be treated and reused. Language shapes perception. Maybe it’s time we call it what it is: a resource.

RIVERS OF KENYA must flow freely from source to lakes, wetlands & seas.
When rivers complete their natural journey, they sustain biodiversity, food systems, cultures & livelihoods. Blocking or polluting them threatens our collective future.

➡️ Wednesday Water Reminder 💦
In uncertain times, it's easy to overlook everyday resources. But water is too essential to ignore. Don't take it for granted. Keep doing your part, one mindful choice at a time.

Clean water goes beyond infrastructure,it drives health systems, strengthens livelihoods, supports education, & builds resilient communities.
“At KeNAWRUA, we see water not just as a service, but as a catalyst for transformation & sustainable development” ~ says our CEO Enock Kiminta

Read article below, where our CEO Enock Kiminta explores a critical question: 👉🏾 Can Kenya truly safeguard its water future by investing simultaneously in ecosystems and the communities that protect them?.

Live from the Lake South Victoria Basin KeNAWRUA and Africa_Water Ambassadors are deep in strategy on youth-led water governance. Our CEO Enock Kiminta is leading the charge: “Youth aren't just the future of water; they are the managers of today.” #WaterAct2016 #ClimateAction
Not luxury. Not favors. Just clean water to drink and cook.
No community should drink Water from mud in 2026. Clean water is a right, not a privilege.
Do not see communities as aliens. See them as human beings.

When local people participate in monitoring & managing water resources, sustainable development becomes possible.
📊 Measure, protect, & manage our water together.
🤝 Community involvement is the key to a sustainable future.
Get involved. Your water, your responsibility, our future.
#WaterIsLife
This is more than an environmental issue. When rivers are denied their flow, communities are denied water, livelihoods, dignity and peace.
Rivers don’t need charity, they need Justice.

Freshwater is not renewable at the speed we are destroying it. Freshwater water protection is non-negotiable.
Every drop matters.
Every action counts.
Let’s Protect it today or pay the price tomorrow because protecting it is not #optional, it’s #survival.
#WaterIsLife
We are no longer in a water crisis.
The World is living in water bankruptcy.
Water bankruptcy means we are spending water we no longer have borrowing from rivers, aquifers, wetlands, and from future generations.

This is not just people fetching water.
This is women & children negotiating survival under a scorching sun, crouched around a shallow, unsafe water source that no one should ever have to depend on.
If water is life, then scenes like this are a collective failure of priorities.

Water connects us all so does the pressure on it.
A river does not recognise borders.
An aquifer does not choose sectors.
A drought does not discriminate.
From upstream to downstream, from policy to practice, from communities to industries Shared water demands Shared responsibility.
#SharedWater
2026 is the year to stop managing water in silos.
One Water means one interconnected system, people, planet, source to sea.
This digital poster asks: What is your 2026 One Water resolution?
Make it personal. Make it count. Make it measurable.

Season’s Greetings from KeNAWRUA✨🎄
2025 was a year of impact stronger WRUAs, deeper partnerships, & communities standing up for their water Thank you to our members, partners, and supporters for making it possible.
2026 will be even better. Together, we keep flowing forward.
Merry Christmas!
Kenya is washing away BILLIONS of litres of clean water every year, & sending toxic car wash waste straight into our water bodies. With communities walking miles for water and ecosystems under pressure, this is a crisis hiding in plain sight.

Water powers everything yet we still price it like a niche. It isn’t a sub-sector; it’s the operating layer beneath energy, food, manufacturing, data, & finance. One of the most critical & most structurally undervalued assets in the entire climate economy.

If you care about how narratives shape policy, participation and action this one is for you.
Read article 👉 lnkd.in/dNzNfwd8 it encourages us to rethink how we talk about water issues because language is the step toward better solutions

This image should break our hearts.
If this doesn’t push us to act, rethink policy, and demand real accountability, then our “progress” is a lie.
It’s time to stop normalizing suffering & redesign justice. If we can’t guarantee water for people & planet, all global promises remain empty.
#COP30
Kenya cannot claim climate resilience while our water is silently dying. This is about our future, our public health, our dignity.
Kenya must wake up, demand accountability, and defend its freshwater bodies.
Water is life. If we lose it, we lose everything.

One of the most haunting and powerful images from the floods in Kihoto Village, Naivasha a silent testimony of Lake Naivasha reclaiming what was once hers.
This isn’t just flooding; it’s the cost of forgetting where water once flowed.
Nature remembers!!.
#LakeNaivasha
Across our river basins, WRUAs are not just fetching water; they’re collecting data, spotting pollution, and restoring rivers through citizen science.
Greatful to our partners for walking us this journey; Water Resources Authority | WWF_Kenya | Earthwatch_Europe and #GEMWater.

Public Private Partnerships built #infrastructure but not #resilience. Rivers die, wetlands choke, communities faced with thirst. It’s time for Nonprofit-Private Partnerships through Payment for Ecosystems Services (PES) to reward Protectors not just Producers.

Credible Water Policy Engagement
Every citizen has a responsibility to protect what we have. We will be a water desert where you can see water, but you cannot use it... where you will find water flowing, but you cannot drink it because it is polluted.
We can only know the health of our freshwater resources if we measure.
#Sdg6
Water can no longer be the forgotten crisis.
It must stand as central as energy & climate because without water, there’s no energy transition, no food, no life. It’s time to make water security non-negotiable.
#WaterCrisis #ClimateAction #Sustainability
Let’s rethink how we value water; let’s defend water & in doing so defend life itself.
