Cunha expected to start with Hwang dropping to the bench unless Pereira decides to manage minutes for Guedes or Strand Larsen. Would have thought that would have happened in the cup if that was on the agenda though.

Expecting the same back 5 from game Vs Bristol with a toss up between R. Gomes and Lima at RWB. Don't expect Semedo to be risked from the start after a calf injury. Midfield pair of Gomes and André will be first choice barring injuries.

Tough game this evening against a really in form Newcastle. Hoping a few back from injury/suspension but don't expect people to be risked unnecessarily with games coming fast. Potential league debut for Agbadou and Lima could get another start. Cunha would be a big boost.

Talk about getting a prediction wrong 😂

Predicted Lineup:

Guedes, Stand Larsen and Hwang make up a front three of an otherwise unchanged side.

Up front, Guedes and Strand Larsen are expected to start with Hwang likely to take Cunha's place after 2 goals in 2 games. Hopefully a real confidence boost to a player at a timely moment for Wolves. Rodrigo Gomes likely to be the first option off the bench if Hwang struggles.

With Toti still injured, the only changes are expected to be in the front line. The midfield pair of João Gomes and André has been working well and with questions over Lemina's fitness (and future) this should be unchanged.

Tough game against Forest tonight given the form they are in. It will be no surprise to see a Nuno side so organised and resilient but we will be in a much more confident mood than 3 games ago. No doubt Cunha will be a big hole to fill.

To be fair, he's had a rest too so could return against a weak City defense 🤞🏻

Annoyingly, Cunha's suspension gives me a headache for my FPL team. It could have been an easy swap out for Morgan Rogers but he is suspended too 😒

I don't want to waste a transfer but can't see Soucek or Grieves returning 🤔

Wolves fans will be pleased with the timing and length of suspension as he will only miss 1 league game vs Forest.

After coming off through injury against Spurs, he may be unavailable against Forest anyway and would likely have been rested against Bristol City in the FA Cup.

Matheus Cunha receives a 2 match suspension plus £80,000 fine for his actions after the Ipswich defeat.

A sufficient punishment for silly and unnecessary behaviour. Any longer suspension would have been harsh.

So Guedes and Strand Larsen drop to the bench to protect from fatigue while Toti misses out with a knock. Good opportunity for Hwang to build confidence off his goal but will be interesting to see how the system looks with others coming in.

Predicted lineup:

No changes from Man Utd on Thursday evening. Could see Lemina back on the bench if he is back fit.

Expect to see more of the same tactical approach:
- Wingbacks high to support attack and starting there from goal kicks.
- CBs are the wide options when building play from the back.
- Cunha left to roam free.
- André the main defensive shield from midfield.

Spurs are a good attacking team but certainly an opportunity to get something with their significant defensive injury list. Our recent record against Spurs, especially away, is a good one so hopeful of another positive and confident performance. 9pts out of 9 anyone?..

No reason to expect Pereira to make any changes for Wolves lineup today against Spurs. Ait-Nouri avoided a 5th yellow card against Man Utd and no news on Cunha's FA charge. Always a risk of rotation to manage minutes with games so close together.

Predicted lineup:

An unchanged side even though Ait-Nouri is available. A chance to build confidence against a team who are struggling for consistency.

Up front the 3 of Cunha, Strand Larsen and Guedes were effective and clinical. Guedes ran the channels well resulting in a goal and assist whilst also linking well with Semedo.

Higher wing backs gave some good options for midfield to move the ball or receive the diagonal long balls to stretch Leicester. Semedo is an easy option but I'd stick with Rodrigo Gomes on the left - partly as it avoids the risk of Ait-Nouri getting another suspension.

Even if Lemina is fit, I'd like to see Pereira stick with the CM pairing of André and João Gomes. André picked up the ball well off the back 3 and Gomes was positive in possession. The sceptic in me says Lemina's injury wouldn't have kept him out if we were low on numbers.

After a much needed clean sheet I don't think there are any changes to the Wolves defence. Doherty's aerial capability was valuable in the CB 3 but still a position we need additions in January.

So, do you make any changes to that side? Cunha still appears to be available with no news of the FA charge. Ait-Nouri is back after his suspension but after Rodrigo Gomes had such a good performance and got his goal, should he keep the LWB spot?

Pereira has had another 3 days to work with the team since the win Vs Leicester. Sounds like no time at all but he managed to implement some noticeable differences in his first couple of days. Make no mistake, Leicester were poor but we were clinical and managed the game well.

I liked Semedo and R. Gomes advanced position as supported the attack. Gave Gomes the chance for his goal and allowed good link up between Semedo and Guedes. Goal and assist capped a great performance from Guedes who was direct and skillful with purpose.

Hard to ask for a better start today. 3-0 up at HT after a clinical and positive first half. Managed the game well for most of the second half with opportunities to score more. Clean sheet will be great for confidence too. But it's one game and a lot of work to do.

First obvious difference is how high Semedo and R. Gomes are up the pitch

Uncertainty could benefit us as I doubt Leicester's scouting will have much to go off now. However he lines up, hope the players show they want a place in his team and get off to a good start. 3 points will do wonders for confidence in a period where games come thick and fast.

Curious to see initial signs of his approach from today's set up and player choice. Will we see fringe players given opportunities in new roles or will it be something very familiar? Given the few days he has had so far I don't expect anything over complicated.

The in tray in obvious for all:
- Deal with a squad drained of confidence.
- Get a hold of discipline.
- Address alarming weaknesses from set pieces.

How he achieves those things will remain to be seen.
