I have 2 Volkswagen Jettas now, 1 sedan and 1 wagon. I'm actually liking the ones that have the 5 cylinder a lot!
Aw thanks, I love you!
And to that end I don't think the battle with addiction ever ends. I still think the thoughts, I still have the urge to fall into the pattern of behaviors on many things. It's easier now than it has ever been but it's about honesty and exercising that muscle so you remain strong.
It's about being honest with yourself and others because deep down you know
So if anyone ever says "you can't be addicted to that!" Just know they haven't won the battle yet and that's ok, it takes time
Just be honest with yourself and those around you and you will feel freedom you have never felt
Anyone that has experienced dope sickness can attest that that is an incredibly hard addiction to kick because of how it makes you feel and I think that is why there is a disconnect between addiction with and without substance but if you have truly won the battle with addiction it's how you think
I am a recovered addict and I myself thought just stopping substances was stopping addiction but it wasn't. There were things in my life that fell into that pattern of behaviors that weren't substances that I had to be honest with myself about.
Anyone that feels you can't be addicted to X,Y or Z fundamentally doesn't understand addiction.
Addiction is a pattern of behaviors, when you are in the grips of addiction you don't see it and that is why it's hard to kick addiction.
It was so good, the grill has changed everything and it wasn't expensive getting one on marketplace and putting a couple of Amazon parts on it and now we can't stop making delicious food in this beautiful weather!
Doing this has allowed me to step outside of this pattern of behaviors, they are closely aligned with addiction and honestly I have never been happier than I am now, sober from addiction.
Addiction is a mindset, substance definitely plays a role but you can be sober and still suffer with addiction.
It's ok to sit and think of the past, it's easy to dwell on it or ruminate but it's wise to just look at it for what it is, without judgement for yourself or others and stick with the facts.
You'll have a better takeaway that allows yourself to grow and move forward.
For years I had therapists encouraging me to practice mindfulness or meditation and it used to make me upset because I thought it was hippie dippie BS but I just hadn't figured it out yet and looking back it's just kind of silly I pushed against it.
I guess as I've aged and I'm approaching 30, I'm realizing that some people get stuck in a pattern of behaviors (addiction) that clearly leave them feeling miserable and I guess some people don't grow out of it?
Anyone can change at any time and it's never too late.
When I hear from people casually checking in on people online they they are blocked by I'm just like YEESH!
I think everyone has done it one time or another so I don't think it's an unreasonable urge but if you sit and think about how it effects people when they do that, it's addiction.
Seriously buying this house has been the best, I can spend most of my day relaxing. Then when the weather is beautiful, make the yard look really pretty and then reward myself with some really yummy food on the grill and finish it off with a nice stroll with my cute preggo partner and our silly dog!
I'm stoked, I got to lick the spoon and it was pretty fire so far!
Yay baby shower!!!

My partner and I are having a virtual baby shower! Our baby is due in July so we are starting to get everything she needs!
If you aren't in a place to get anything, that's fine! Good thoughts and well wishes are appreciated as well!

Yeah! Feel free to reach out whenever, I have auction access so if what I have in inventory isn't where it's at I can always hunt specific things down!
I just do mainly $10k or less because I don't do in house financing and most people don't have over $10k on hand
I don't like seeing more cars in recon than there is in inventory so I have a lot of catch up to do but if you need a car for $10k or less, inventory starting as low as $2995 at the moment, hmu!
@mischiefmerle on tg
My dealership of $10k or less is BUSY
Cars in inventory:
2011 Toyota Prius
2006 Toyota Camry
2005 Toyota Corolla
2001 Volvo S60
2015 Honda Odyssey
Cars in recon:
2007 Mazda 3
2011 Toyota Highlander
2012 Volvo XC70
2010 Toyota Prius
2009 Honda Odyssey
2009 Toyota Venza
I've got a lot to prep!
Both of those are good! Even in that year range I would be willing to bet the Venza would be cheaper than both the rav4 and the Highlander with similar mileage etc. The market favors those 2 a lot and it's rare I get those in with my lot being priced all under $10k
Yeah, I just paid $4500 last week for a 2011 Highlander with the same mileage also 1 owner clean Carfax but I honestly like the Venza better, it's a base model on the Highlander but it's good!
Yeah! I honestly have too many cars in inventory so I was telling myself I wouldn't buy anything unless it's a good deal and I think this technically fit the bill! The pre sale inspection looks good, it might need tires, the pictures weren't completely clear on that!
Yeah honestly idk if the public at large realized they were on sale from the beginning because they weren't a hot ticket item then but this one is 1 owner, clean Carfax 2009 with panoramic sunroof, 2 tone leather, nav, smart key, etc. for $3200. Mileage is high but I've had good look with toyota!
The bid was low but going up fast so I pressed "bid" thinking it would get lost in the mix and it immediately stopped as soon as I hit "bid" lol!
I think we got a good deal on it, it was cheap and it's 1 owner clean carfax 2009 model. It has some miles but for $3200 I think it'll be good!
I accidentally bought a Toyota Venza sight unseen at auction today lol! Hopefully it's good!
I watch Matt's off-road recovery and I love seeing him be autistic about the corvair which fits nicely into that era and that was a pretty cool car from GM eventhough it was a "death trap" or whatever
